The Whisper Coalition is a research group focused on turning the whispers of those who experience sexual harassment and subtle or overt gender discrimination into a united, powerful coalition. We communicate stories, research, and advice based on scientific evidence to raise awareness of sexual harassment and issues related to gender equality. Our goal is to provide practical tools for reducing sexual harassment and improving gender equality in the workplace and beyond.
JENN & KELSEY
Jenn and Kelsey became fast friends over pancakes at the Norman, Oklahoma restaurant, Syrup. A mutual friend connected them based on their shared interest and general loud mouthery on sexual harassment and "lady problems." They began doing research on these topics in 2015 and have continued to do so, as well as eat pancakes, since. Both Jenn and Kelsey share a passion for communicating scientific evidence outside of the academy walls and helping organizations

JENN GRIFFITH, PHDJenn is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at the University of New Hampshire. Her research explores the consequences of psychological autopilot resulting from gendered expectations and social identity. Most recently, she has focused on workplace policy and interventions both pre- and post- hire to address identity-based bias and sexual misconduct. She earned her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
Outside of work, Jenn stays busy with the variety of things to do on the small farm she owns with her husband, Chris, including trying (and failing) to keep their blonde lab, Curie, from helping herself to the carrots growing in the ground and distracting their mini dachshunds, Copernicus & Tucker, from howling like banshees at the chickens. |
KELSEY MEDEIROS, PHDKelsey is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Nebraska Omaha where she researches organizational trouble, including cases of sexual harassment and women who "cause trouble" by breaking down gendered norms to advance into the highest levels of organizational leadership. She earned her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. Boomer!
Originally from Southern California, she bounced around the United States from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma, Texas, and now Nebraska, where she lives with her half Chihuahua/half German Shepard dog, Luna. She loves to travel and takes every opportunity she can to find her new favorite coffee shop around the world. |
